Welcome to Monster Restaurant!

Have you ever celebrated Halloween? If so, what have you done at this day, dressing up as different characters or going around asking for candy from others? We can see there are lots of people celebrating Halloween in their ways. As for me, this Halloween I dress up as a film character at the restaurant where I work while I am working!

I work part-time at an American restaurant. There are often many plans to celebrate Western festivals, such as Valentine's Day, Christmas, and Halloween, and Halloween is the most joyful and interesting festivals held in our restaurant throughout the year. In addition to offering both thrilling and a little bit cute meals, the restaurant also decorates the store with some atmospheric decorations, and even the music is playing a type of terrifying feeling. Of course, the attire of employees is also an indispensable element to add more sense of atmosphere, so my colleagues and I have racked our brains to prepare our attire.

The theme of our Halloween costume this year is Hotel Transylvania, which is an American comedy animated film released in 2012. Although this film is a terrifying animation, it is intended for children to watch. Thus the characters in the movie are generally very cute, with only a dark and peculiar characteristic. The challenge is to imitate these characters as much as possible, whether it's makeup or clothing, preparing with some imagination and creativity, and this is also one of the most interesting processes! As for the character I'm imitating is the daughter of the vampire in the film, which is the female lead named Mavis. Mavis is a curious and lively girl who has just grown up, and her characteristic is that she has black elements from head to toe, black hair, black makeup, black clothing, and black shoes, which are basic elements to imitate this character. It is worth mentioning that my creative colleague imitates a creature in the film that looks like green jelly called Blobby. She makes her own clothing and props, using some very simple materials such as garbage bags and paper cups. I think the results are very good, lovely, and interesting, bringing us a lot of joy and leaving a deep impression on the customers.

This year, I have a very happy Halloween at the restaurant where I work. Although dressing up is a little bit difficult, it is really fun. We all enjoy the process and the holiday. I am already looking forward to next year's Halloween. What should I dress up for next time?
